Big Day

Right now, on this very big, exciting, and special day in my family, I’m the only one awake. We’ve had a beautifully chaotic week with work, mini getaways, hosting overseas friends, and planning/preparing for this day. I’m sitting quietly in my living room, coffee in hand, giving myself grace and rest.

Sometimes the untidiness bothers me, and on a day like this, I’m thankful that the scattered items around me would require at most a 15-minute reset. This is real life. We are humans: messy, busy, tired, doing our best.

When I work with you, and all my clients really, it’s me constantly reminding you that the goal is not perfection, the goal is to make your home easy to reset and tidy. The goal is that a birthday party or returning from a vacation doesn’t result in unpacked bags getting buried in clutter and the cake decorating items getting misplaced into a reusable shopping bag that ends up in the bedroom closet.

I could jump up right now, start my timer, and bang this out, but I choose rest. I choose gratitude, peace, coffee.

(I can help you get to this place! You can rest in your peaceful home and know that a quick reset will take care of it—when you’re done with your coffee or glass of wine!).
