What You Will Remember

This is especially on my mind as my little one has a birthday coming up! Organizers frequently say “you can either have the stuff or the space.” What good is having the stuff if you can’t even functionally or logistically use it/find it/cherish it? We are talking about your LIFE here. Life is not meant to be stagnant, surrounded by piles and boxes and overwhelm, buried in clutter and feeling out of control.

At the end of your life, will you remember and be thankful for the overflowing closet of clothes that mostly don’t fit and you don’t love? Will you recall fondly with pride your collection of kitchen appliances you don’t use, or gladly pass on to your loved ones your accumulation of every paper you’ve ever received?

HOPEFULLY, you will remember the love, the laughter. The connections, the resilience, the beauty, the experiences. Isn’t this the goal?

You are worth so much more than your clutter. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help and when you do, you won’t regret it.
